I Do SoDo | Seattle’s newest wedding show | Feb 12, 2017

I Do SoDo

I Do SoDo – Seattle’s newest wedding show – is an event unlike any other.

Seattle’s SoDo neighborhood, once a strict warehouse district, is in the midst of a wonderfully chic transformation! Steadily filling with tasty restaurants and hip bars, SoDo is now home to some of Seattle’s best hidden gems.

With a scintillating blend of old and new, steel, concrete, and wood, the neighborhood boasts an edgy elegance that redefines the traditional norms of beauty and style.

I Do SoDo, Seattle’s hippest new wedding show, was born of a desire to showcase all the wonderful options this varied and often overlooked neighborhood has to offer.

With over 100 talented vendors, spread out across 8 amazing SoDo venues – I Do SoDo flawlessly combines all the fun elements of this unique neighborhood into a one-of-a-kind, industrial chic, wedding event.

I Do Sodo

I Do SoDo is different than other Seattle wedding shows in that each venue will be styled to the nines, and all vendors will be showcasing their talents to the fullest.

This event is absolutely perfect for anyone looking to meet their vendors in a more intimate and honest setting. Rather than wading through an overwhelming mish-mash of tiny booths, you will get to see each vendor in action: a true reflection of how they would perform on your actual wedding day.

Take our venue Metropolist for an example… Located on 1st Ave, just before the West Seattle bridge, this venue is easy to overlook when just driving by.

However, walk through the elegantly decorated lobby into the grand reception hall behind, and you will find yourself pleasantly surprised.

A wide-open floor plan, pale wood finishes, and tons of natural light all combine to make a space that is warm, inviting, and highly customizable to your personal tastes.

Thanks to the talented Michelle Bernard (of Married with Michelle), Metropolist will be a bastion of bridal bliss – decked out according to the chic and delicious theme: Mediterranean Modern.

All the elegance of the Mediterranean mixed with the modern details you love.

Let’s talk semantics

8 venues? Does that mean we’ll be walking around all day?

Definitely not!

Your ticket includes access to the complimentary shuttle service, which will be running throughout the event in order to transport guests between each venue.

Where does the event start?

We love this part…

The event actually begins at the illustrious Safeco Field Diamond Club!

Though we would absolutely love to see you first thing at Metropolist, registration at Safeco Field is required, so please make sure to start your day there in order to finish registration and grab your wristband.

Registration runs between 11:30am-1:30pm.

The wristband is key! If you do not collect your wristband at the beginning of the day you will, unfortunately, not be able to enter any of the venues.

What about parking?

All guests may park for free in the Safeco Field parking garage at Edgar Martinez Way and Occidental Avenue South. From there you can walk across the Sky Bridge, and then make your way to the aforementioned diamond club to register and collect the wristband.

Once you have your wristband, it’s off to the races! The wedding races, that is.

No matter what you’re looking for and what stage of wedding planning you are in, I Do SoDo promises to be a fun-filled day and an overall unforgettable event.

Good luck and we hope to see you there!
